The PS3 was very expensive. They told people who couldn’t afford it to get a second job. Let’s not pretended that it wasn’t Sony’s doing for fucking up their launch and essentially making the 360 the go to console last gen.

This is exactly what happened to the Xbox one this gen. If MS just launched a gaming console and didn’t do such a terrible job at the unveiling and turning everyone off, the PS4 would never get the lead it is enjoying now.

But everyone seems to be pretending that the main reason is the singleplayer games which launched 3-4 years after the PS4 came out. Yet the PS4 had almost no good exclusives in the beginning and it was still outselling Xbox like crazy.
