I agree that if people like it, that's their choice. I think the ongoing problem with this sub is that its title is "shitty kickstarters" and there's no real explanation for what that exactly means. One man's shit is another man's treasure. There isn't even a quick definition of what the point of this sub is. It's like it's just up to everyone to decide what constitutes shitty. Shitty is in the eye of the beholder, so with that in mind, I think this product fits.

"Speakers that look like things" are shitty as hell, imo, especially when they look like a generic metal dude. Practical objects like speakers, phones, computers, that are decorated to look like super heroes, everyday objects, footballs, coke cans, etc, are just silly and the novelty wears off after like 10 minutes. After those ten minutes, people usually realize "man this looks ugly and I should have just gotten a form-follows-function device."

The campaign video says "impress your friends". Are you kidding me? It's a metal robot statue with LEDs in it... that doubles as a charging stand for your phone and a bluetooth speaker. In other words, it takes three existing products that don't need to be combined (a phone charger, a bluetooth speaker, and a metal light-up action figure of a generic metal "hero"), and merges them into one abomination.

"Hey cool, what's that metal superhero? Is that like Iron Man or something?"

"oh that? That's just a super guy. He's a phone charger and speaker. Cool huh?"

"Yeah, let me just go put a quarter in the meter. brb."
