(Spoilers Everything) A buddy of mine had a brilliant theory on someones Walk.

I do not know a single person that would be calm if someone tipped a flaming oil braisier at them.

How many warlords do you know? Furthermore, how many of those warlords maintain dominion over their forces (which number in the thousands) by right of strength? How many of those warlords regularly raid and burn cities?

What your friends would do in a fire is different from what a khal would do in a fire. you can argue that EVERYBODY, including seasoned fighters, soldiers, and the like would universally flinch. But personally, i think when you make those caveats, it would seem more unbelievable that 95%+ of the strongest and most battle hardened soldiers would panic at the sight of a burning building as opposed to at least 5% being able to keep a cool head. In other words, there were like 20 khals in that room and not a single one (5%) was able to maintain a cool head. That's just shit writing imo. I could not personally suspend my disbelief in that scene. They literally looked like chickens with their heads chopped off. It was bad pussey electric boogaloo #2.

If the khals were characterized as all-talk prior to, i would have accepted that. But they weren't. The dothraki are suppose to be metal as fuck. And the khals are suppose to be the MOST metal. And literally EVERY khal seemingly had a heart attack at the sight of how ferocious dany supposedly looked. EVEN THAT i could accept, except dany didn't look ferocious at all. Err well I'll admit that her line was pretty cool. But everything else wasn't. I don't know what else they could have done. I also understand that that was really hard to film, so it's whatevers, but i won't let go of the opinion that i did not think that was a very good scene. It may very well have been the best scene that they could have done with the limitations they had imposed upon themselves, but that doesn't mean it has to be a good scene.

I was watching the behind-the-scenes clip for the filming of the fire, and i'm not going to lie: CGI might have been a better idea if it would have allowed them to re-write how the khals reacted. or perhaps how the whole thing went down. I think they tried to do the scene too, "authentically," and it sapped them of their budget and range of abilities.
