[SPOILERS] RE7 Demo Help Thread

Being able to dismember some of the mannequins but not others has got to be purposeful. I say this because in terms of making the game, implementing an additional type of mannequin that breaks like that requires additional modeling, texturing, animating, and programming another type entirely, plus QA has to go through it multiple times to make sure it works as-designed and then more times to look for regression bugs, not to mention the additional resources required to do the necessary physics calculations needed to make each individual piece behave properly when colliding with other objects or is under the influence of some other force than just gravity. As a developer, and other professionals here can back me up on this, I can’t think of a good reason to waste valuable production hours that could be spent on either more implementation or polishing current builds to do this, in addition to adding more to the always full plates of creatives, developers, and QA, if there is no purpose for having 2 types of mannequins when you could just have the static, unbreakable type and make all of them like that.
