Cool concept. Bad networking foundation. It's hard to enjoy a game if Mastermind (who has host advantage btw) is playing in McDonald's wifi.

Dedicated servers relies less on people's individual internet capabilities. Most triple A companies have the money but would rather not invest in the server upkeep. Resistance will be almost unplayable after a couple months. People are find with taking 5 minutes to find matches.

I played titanfall 2 on PS4, a game that released in 2016 and had dedicated servers. In 2019 it had a population of 3k and I could find matches in under 5 minutes, and that was after 3 years. If it's already taking this long to find matches in resistance on release, imagine half a year from now.
