Statement from Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft

I am deeply disappointed in Robert Kraft for blaming the President rather tackling the problem within the NFL itself. Trump could have had more tact but the point is the disrespect for the nation coming from the NFL is on it's second year now. Sports used to be a measure of unification but today it has become just as divisive as politics, because of politics, and because over-paid athletes cannot keep their political opinions off the field. I think the NFL could learn a great deal from what is going on, the repercussions to their network, and the drop of their ratings. Their fear and/or incompetence to put their foot down and stop an ignorant practice so that the sport can once again return to being a sport is repugnant. This is why the NFL is starting to die out. You are part of the problem Mr. Kraft. This long standing Patriots fan is deeply disappointed in this response and won't be watching the season like many other Americans. This is my opinion. I served my nation and I am proud to support it. These players are free to do what they want but I'm free to react how I see fit. I won't reward disrespect, personally. Wrong is wrong at the end of the day.
