Steve Irwin, Robin Williams, and Anthony Bourdain... that is the trifecta right there of celebrity deaths that had the biggest impact on me.

Kobe's death kinda fucked me up too but I didn't necessarily idolize him and I know he had some controversial shit go on in his personal life as well. However, the guy also did plenty of good in his final years and was more of a "larger than life" childhood icon for me growing up even though I wasn't really into basketball as a kid. I really got into the NBA as Kobe was on his way out. His final game is actually one of my favorite sports memories of all time as it was just astonishing to watch him put up 60. Also, since he died towards the start of 2020 it has felt like shit has went all down hill from there. Sheesh.
