As Far as 3 starring max th 9's Quatro Lavaloon or Quatro Lavaloonion is where its at right now. Assuming that you have max loons, lvl 5 minions, and lvl 2 hounds of course. Favorite Composition: 3 Lava Hounds, 1 CC hound, 24 Skulloons (max loons), 5 minions, 3 rage, 1 Heal
If you're going against non maxed th 9 defenses or lvl 7 walls or lower GoWiWi is a lot stronger than GoWiPe. BY FAR. It's somewhat heavy on dark elixir but my favorite compostion for GoWiWi is
3 Golems, 15 Wizards, 11 wallbreakers, 4 witches, and for a lvl 5 CC you can try different variations of witches and wizards in your clan castle. 2 rage, 2 heal - OR- 2 rage, 1 heal, 1 lighting to kill CC troops Deployment: Drop 3 golems on the side that will engage the most splash damage and/or xbow first
Immediately spread wizards in a line directly behind the 3 golems.
Rage middle golem
Drop 8 wallbreakers in 2 groups of 4 in line with the middle golem. By this time the CC troops should engage the middle golem, This is when you drop your heal almost over the first rage you dropped but more towards the inside of the base. (This is all you need to kill the CC)
Drop the last 3 wallbreakers Drop 5 witches in the same spot where you dropped your wallbreakers. (Basically lined up with the center golem)
Lastly you drop your heroes. If you deployed your wizards correctly there will be absolutely no outside structures to distract heroes and make them go around the base.
Drop 2nd rage to get your heroes and kill squad into the core.
Finally, drop the heal spell over the core. (This is absolutely crucial and will allow you to end the raid with usually half your army still alive)
Maxing Hogs are also a must and will allow you to 3 star a high percentage of th 9's in war but overall the other 2 strategies I highlighted will give you best option for the majority of bases
