Stratfor's vision on the future of Russia

While I appreciate your inspirational reply, again, I hope other readers take it with a grain of salt.

"knowing where to set your foot" is a very subjective aspect of of Foreign policy. You can't really believe that the U. S. treaded lightly in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria? All these countries are in ruins, the resulting turmoil creating organizations like ISIS, that the U. S. Now calls enemy number one. It wouldn't exist if it wasn't for NATOs feet :))

Russia hasn't led expansionary wars in several centuries. And we have no need to. That's just the difference between you and us.

As Russians, we don't constantly jerker each other off about when America will fall apart, or when the E. U. Will fail. We just want to live in a stable world and enjoy healthy partnerships with neighboring countries.

We don't need more land. We don't need more resources. We literally have everything any country needs to thrive. Don't kid yourself on GDP sizes, unless of course, you're an economist - in that case you understand full well the differences in US and economics that easily explain the start difference in GDP size. I'll give you a hint though, it's not because Russia's a shithole. Neither is California, obviously) but that's beside the point.

Neither Russia, nor the U. S. Will fall apart in the foreseeable future, there are simply no realistic reasons for their downfall as of today. If anything we'll see some stagnation sure, but nothing like in the 90s.

So forget your wishful thinking. We're no going anywhere. Russians (all our over 180 peoples, which westerners all sadly just refer to as russians) are a stubborn nation! And we hope you'll have the foresight to last as long=)

As far as treating other countries like shit, again, thats very subjective. We have varying relationships with all former Soviet republics. It's a love hate relationship really. But I think in the long run we're mutually respectful of each other and tend to develop in similar ways. I think you'll see that the general population of these countries you have in mind aren't nearly as anti Russian as you, or the pro-american politicians there seem to state.
