Substitute teachers of Reddit, what was the absolute worst class you've ever subbed for?

I'm not a teacher, but I was part of what was probably the worst class that this substitute teacher ever had.

It was the year 2006 and I was in year 5. It was nearing the end of the year, and our teachers wife had just given birth. For the next week or so, my class was scheduled to have a substitute. She was a mean lady in her mid forties, and on day one a kid in class who I'll call Harry labeled her a target. She was awful. If you breathed too loudly, she would yell; if you didn't know the answer you would get the same treatment. The first three days that we had her, 1/4 of us were put on lunch time detentions! She literally pushed you out of the classroom if you sneezed, because our germs would infect her.

By Friday, everyone was sick of her. We had had enough. So we came up with a plan the day before.

It started off small, kids would ask stupid and inappropriate questions, give ridiculous answers. Every so often somebody would sneeze in her direction I know, such rebellion.

About two hours in Harry put up his hand, "Miss. Bus? Can I go to the bathroom?".

"Be quick". He left.

Then, one by one, as she was turned around facing the chalkboard, three more students left. Harry came back. a few minuets later, so did the other boys. They snuck in, and started passing things under the desks to the other students. It got to me, I felt it in my hand and I knew what we had to do.

We waited, and waited. It needed to be perfect.

It was almost recess when Harry gave the signal. In perfect synchronicity we all stood up, and climbed atop the tables. She turned around when she heard all the noise."Kids! Get down! Rights now!"

I don't think so

What happened next. I'll never forget. 16 of us (that's all the balloons we had) raised out arms and pelted these balloons in her direction. It was all over in a second but the sense of justice would last a lifetime. She ran out of the room and straight to the principals office while we cheered.

We never saw her again. And the masterminds were suspend, the rest of us just got given detentions, and a lecture in the school hall about our actions.

We came to school the next monday, no sub was there. Were were being split up into pairs and sent to other junior classes to help the kids, and it was like that until out teacher got back.
