Surveying: what was your leanfire number and what made you choose that?

1500-1800 per month in dividend income is my goal. I see good reach that in 5-7 years. I'm still fairly young so it'd be a very early leanfire number.

I chose this because I'd like to stay in Thailand. $800-1000 USD in Thailand is plenty for rent, food, and occasional bars etc. So I could have money left to where I could easily save for trips within Thailand or even flights to other countries for fun.

Also, that per month number would cover all of my bare bills including insurance and gym if I were to visit or I could go work back in the states to top off retirement and let the fairly large dividend payments compound into more. And as far as the states goes I've always lived in very low cost of living areas.

Also, that goal would likely somewhat change to a "coast" approach as with my line of work I could work for chunks and relax for chunks of time as well. So I could greatly add to that retirement in a fairly short amount of time.
