It’s not even kicking the can. It’s more like “look, I tried” type busy work. She has a heading Health Department, everyone please read this paragraph. Only the last bullet point even mentions addressing the issue of addiction, to the affect of check to see how many detox beds are available in the city of Long Beach. I’m like girl, are you for real? This is like homeless outreach 101. I mean duh, you’d need to know how many beds are NOT available to treat all the addicts waking the street. And those are only the addicts who are homeless. There’s ZERO mention on how she intends to address mental illness homelessness using the health department unless it’s using the donations she plans on collecting from businesses. Which businesses though, I’m not sure. Amazon yes, MVP’s though, probably not.
