Tbh you can see a car drive by really quick over the wall, any nice house will be farther away from a road you can drive that quick on, if not the entire property, the building will be set back, and that's presumably not the front of the house either. Also because of their accents even in america I can only think of a few places like malibu specifically where you find actually high end houses that close to a busy street. Actual wealth designates privacy not just nice looking things.

I say it because I've known people who would laugh and say "you put that marble box of a kitchen any closer to the street and you'll taste the petrol in your food"
