Sympathizing for BLM Protestors and bitching about politics

I've taught in low-income/ghetto schools.

You know the big issue there? The parents. The extreme majority of kids who fit into what you describe live in households where parents don't care about education or where the kids are actively mocked for being smart.

Where is your outrage at the children idolizing the lifestyles sung about by gangster rappers? Where's the outrage at the parents who insult a child's desire to learn and become a more rational and level-headed person?

IT IS NOT MY FAULT that black on black crime is so disproportionately high. IT IS NOT MY FAULT that those kids idolize thugs and gang bangers. IT IS NOT MY FAULT that these adults make the choices they make. IT IS NOT MY FAULT that my best friend is mocked by other black people because she is smart, kind, considerate, and polite.

The BLM people could be ultra effective if they did one thing and one thing alone: joined the police. They got a problem with law enforcement? Then how about they join it and change it? I think its stupid when a PD sends some sunurb raised white kid to the moddle of the ghetto. Its a recepie for disaster, the kid is a fish out of water. But the PD doesn't have a choice, they send who they have.

Protests look nice for the camera, but unless they are followed by action, then they mean nothing. Want change? Join the force. Vote in a politician who will actually change policy.

But the moment you vanalize people's property because you're angry, you've lost the right to be treated like innocents. Look at the ferguson riots, it was a circus and in the end no one cared. When it was a protest, people were curious, people were sympathetic. But the moment the rioting started everyone shrugged and stopped caring about their plight.

So support who you will, but don't fool yourself into thinking blaming others for internal issues and hurting other people will solve your problems or make you look like a hero.
