T.I. recently declared he escorts his daughter to the gynecologist each year to “check her hymen” to ensure she’s a virgin

Some people do value that... on both sides. Kind of a dick move to say what does and doesn’t matter to someone. Being close minded in either direction is wrong. Let me put it this way: say there was a very attractive girl/boy that you were into. They tell you that they have been with something like 3000 romantic partners. That might make you not pursue that relationship. What about 1000 partners? What about 500? 100? 50? It’s impossible to draw a finite line for other people when it’s so difficult for people to draw the line for themselves. Maybe you wouldn’t care if this person had literally slept with every single person in the country. That’s within your comfort zone, and that’s perfectly acceptable for you to feel fine about it. You can’t possibly expect every person to share that same boundary as you. For some people the boundary is zero, that’s totally fine for them to think that. And I’m sure they can find someone else who feels the same way.

I think my comfort zone is probably pretty high compared to most. I’m just trying to say that personal preference shouldn’t be admonished. The issue comes when you start forcing your beliefs on other people. That’s what I don’t like.
