You'll be surprised how pure those really are since most of them didn't arrive from actual mainland Spain but rather the Canary Islands which is closer to Africa than actual Spain hence why they're called Islanders back then in Spain. They're also a tad darker/mixed. Basically the story of white, blonde, green eyed cuban friend who's family never really mixed in their generations in Cuba but still came out 6% western africa. I'd say the GREAT majority of white cubans (from a phenotype perspective) tends to have some African blood (This can be specifically Northern, Western, Southern ect..)but not because they mixed in Cuba but rather several generations ago in the Canary Islands. The genetics findings in Cuban DNA confirmed that those who traced back their origins in Spain partook in the colonization of Africa.
