Hello everyone maybe you guys can help me with a question I’ve been contemplating in my head. Why is it that black people have black history month women have women’s history month and now LGBT even have LGBT history month but latinos, native American, pacific islanders are subjugated to only have “heritage” month tf, it also seems to me that it doesn’t get anywhere near the amount of coverage as black history month or women’s history month etc. I also can’t remember one time we studied anything regarding Latino heritage in school except for maybe the Alamo for like a day as a growing minority group i feel like we should definitely have more of a presents in pop culture literature and everything else that goes with that especially in this new inclusive environment that we find our selfs in. Maybe it’s just me but what do you guys think?
