Taiwan Hit by Cyberattack as Tensions Rise Over US House Speaker's Visit

Exactly! And, it comes at a critical time: the parallels between Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and China’s interests in Taiwan are a little too close for comfort, including China’s support of Russia’s actions in Ukraine. It’s highly unlikely that China would act; they’d be foolish to do so. Xi is anything but foolish. So, I read Pelosi’s trip on the surface as let’s talk about the APAC trade partnership, AND otherwise as a calculated move by Pelosi and Biden, and by extension, the U.S. Government to show that it has interests in Taiwan and will act, if needed. Which is also why Chinese officials are so flustered. Because they understand this. Of course, Xi will lose face, but he’ll spin it somehow.
