Talk to me about Aldi

Curently employed by Aldi so heres my understanding

  1. Aldi pays really well. To be able to pay that well we run with 2 or three associates and a manager per shift split into morning /night shifts.
Instead of paying cart jockeys (the worst job at a store ,hands down) the cart corral solve so many problems. No dented vehicles from stray carts and it forces people to slow down leaving knowing families will be out having to cross to put it back. so much less parking lot drama.

    1. Same as 1 . We don't have to pay someone to say come back to any Aldi so we can help you, get you a refund or help you find something. Only we have the store numbers for our division and we are more than happy to call to see if they have something we don't.
    2. You can use our own boxes in lieu of bags , when we clase we literally crush down the emty display boxes . Just take an empty or take the product out of one box and put it on the one under it (exacty like we do to front the store)or ask for a box and we will get some for you. No cost . Or you can leave your bags in the car all the time so you have them always. You can use anything you want to hold your groceries . Ive put them in coolers back packs you name it .
    3. We work so hard to make the store run , we have insane work loads and deadlines to meet . It really bothers people that we dont have 5 asiers sitting there at all times. Instead we work like machines to do the job of 5 people. So in order to be able to sell products at half the price we do everything ourselves. I get there at 6 am to unload the truck with 1 other co worker and a produce manager . Anywhere from 6-12 grocery pallets 6days a week. By that time we are live . Inbetween customers we then we put out the new bread delivery, then the meat shippment then the freezer then the cooler befor completing our paperwork and leaving for the day at 3. We aren't trying to be lazy or put the work on you guys , just trying to live up to store standards. We check fast purely because we HAVE to. We are timed and have to meet quotas. There is so much more but thats about the gist of it.
The store expects so much from us but it really takes care of us as well , I will always champion a place that treats all employees fairly and equally .
