Teachers of reddit, what's the funniest or strangest thing you've witnessed from a student(s)?

I am a high school English teacher who studied religious studies in college and teach at a predominantly catholic public school (school has no religious affiliation, vast majority of kids come from a catholic background). Some of my student find religion to be an interesting topic of discussion in literature because they are right at the age where they I are forming their own beliefs, so when we were reading Hamlet we talked about the tension between Catholicism and Protestantism in the text. And we would discuss the text by watching a movie of it and pausing to discuss. When hamlet doesn’t kill Claudius because he is afraid of Claudius going to heaven, I had one student yell, “OH FUCK OFF. ALL PROTESTANTS ARE COWARDS” and I had to tell him that that obviously isn’t acceptable to say in school, but as soon as I left the classroom I just started cracking up.
