[TECH] How do you use the Mixamp M80 on the Astros A40 headset?

Hey buddy, Sorry to see that you are having an issue with you're brand new Astro headset.

Unfortunately you haven't really explained what the problem is?

So i'll just explain how to set it up and use you're new headset instead.

First of all, You need to update you're Xbox one controller do NOT have anything plugged into the bottom of the controller, go to settings, system and update you're controller.

Then simply connect the M80 adapter into the bottom of the Xbox one controller then connect the wire/cable from the M80 adapter into the Astro A40 headset.

That's it as far as the "setup" goes.

So let's move on over on how to use the volume controls.

So let's turn you're Xbox one controller while you're M80 adapter is plugged into you're Astro A40 and into you're Xbox one controller.

To see if its set up properly and working just simply push the button inwards that is located at the bottom on the M80 adapter and if its setup correctly it will light up red, I'm am going to presume that it does light up red which means that it is set up correctly.

Moving on you will see a white LED bar in the middle of the M80 adapter, Now basically on the left hand side is voice sound (Which is game and party chat) and on the right hand side is game sound (Which is sound that comes from games ect) so in a nut shell the side that is more whiter will output more of that sound then the other, So for example if the white LED is all the way over to the right hand side this means that you will only hear in game sound (No voice, game or party chat) so if the white LED is all the way to the left hand side then all you will hear is voice, party and game chat (No in game sound) now you can tweek this balance as you see fit but for me personally I have it set to 75% voice chat (Left hand side) and 25% in game sound (Right hand side) only because I find the Astro A40s fairly loud when it comes to in game sound.

Now once you have found you're balance you need to adjust the master volume which is the rotating circle button at the bottom of the M80 adapter, Turning this to the left will lower the overall volume of everything and turning it to the right will increase the overall volume of everything, Now again this is up to you what you want to set it at but for me personally I have it set so that its just over half way so pretty much at the 1 o'clock position.

As for muting you're microphone, All you need to do is press the button inwards at the bottom of the M80 adapter and it will light up red, Which means that you're microphone is now muted and to un-mute it you simply just push the same button in again.

Hopefully this information has helped you out a great deal and if you have any issues or if something isn't working then just contact me and i will try my best to assist you.
