Knew each other as acquaintances throughout middle school and freshman year of highschool - mostly through band related things. At the end of 8th grade we did a performance in St. Louis and got to go to Six Flags the next day. We had all chosen chaperone groups to go with before the trip (I had a crush on her friend, so obviously we ended up in the same group.)

We rode on the same bus, rode basically all the same rides. For some reason she had never had a funnel cake before, so we bought one and shared it. Had alot of fun, etc.

After a long bus ride the next day, we got home at like 2:30am and sleepily exchanged phone numbers.

We became friends very quickly. We still always joke about a text she sent me the following week asking me how I thought the trip was and how excited she was to go next year. She also asked me what bus I rode on and what group I was in. I sarcastically acted like I went with another group and let her slowly figure out that she had forgotten I was actually assigned to her group/bus. We both laughed it off and the friendship grew from there.

Im a bit of a loner (the rememberable kind of loner, though), but she's the one person who I can always talk to and feel comfortable with.

Sadly, I had to move to a different state this past year with my parents (couldn't get an apartment and stay because I just barely wasn't 18 at the time). Before I left we exchanged that we had romantic feelings for each other and agreed to do a long distance relationship. Its been long and difficult to deal with the distance, but hopefully we'll be able to meet up for the first time in 11 months in the next few weeks after I graduate. She's my best friend and I love her to death. Really can't wait.

First and second meetings, I guess.
