That's actually dishearteningly fascinating...

Dreadlocks are more traditionally a black hairstyle, and white people appropriated it. Black people are commonly judged and shamed for wearing their hair in dreads (in a "we can't hire him he looks like a drug dealer" way), and white people aren't (maybe in a "why does this white kid look like he smokes so much weed" way - but even then, the assumption is kind of that a white person wearing a black hairstyle is some sort of lowlife because of the associations with black people = criminals). When the first image that shows up on a search is of a white person wearing a black hairstyle, it promotes appropriation and makes education harder - and it makes it harder for anyone to find authentic resources. When talking about/showcasing black hairstyles, it's preferable for the hairstyles to be shown on a black person, and for information to come from a black person - there's no reason why black voices shouldn't be allowed to talk about their own culture.
