They say there are no stupid questions. They never got asked this.

It was really hard for me. All of my class had either gotten out or got into positions where they no longer went out of missions. In my mind my friends were "safe" and she was going to be getting a Ph.D treating PTSD for the rest of the career. So we lost touch for a bit due to my house being destroyed in a hurricane and me dealing with that.

next thing I know the NSW mafia tells me way before it's in the news that she bad been killed. The Navy kicked her out of that OCS program for surviving breast cancer (OCS entry is like initial entry rules for the military, can't have ever had cancer, no one caught it until after she was about to ship into this ph.d program). So instead of being a complainer she filed an appeal and instead of sitting around decided to go back to doing what she was real fucking good at.

I'm just glad the whole "NSW mafia" joke kinda does actually exists and I didn't find out from the fucking news or radio. That's how I found out mike strange was killed. From the goddamn radio on the way into work.
