These 3 Jewish men arrived in Auschwitz on the same day, & were tattooed 10 numbers apart. 73 years later, @sandibachom photographed them meeting for the first time for the Last Eyewitness Project, as free men who survived to build families and prosperous lives.

But it’s spoken like a joke way too often now. Like someone becomes a “Nazi” for doing something annoying...this shit is what the Nazis really did. They rounded these three men up like cattle, stuffed them into trains where they probably had people die and slump on them for days until they got off. These three men probably saw several people shot in the face. These three men probably saw people starve to the point of becoming skeletal. These three men probably smelled their wives, sons, best friends’ bodies; their skin and bones and fat burning into smoke.

If not these three men, then too many others.

Don’t forget that when you say the word Nazi, because there are still people today who want me dead just because of pointless hatred.

And I know too many people on Reddit are jaded, and just to anyone who is and may think I’m being dramatic, one of my family members was injured at a synagogue shooting last week, and another one of my relatives was friends with the man who died. This shit isn’t a joke, and when people say the word Nazi like a joke, it completely diminishes how fucking terrifying real Nazis were and are. Please just think about this.
