To those who became wealthy, what are the most overlooked ways to earning money that people should look at?

Stop spending it.

I hear you, but man how do you reconcile putting all your cards in living a happy life only by the time you’re 60+? I feel like so much of the advice here, while absolutely sound and correct is built on living as frugally as you can for most of your physically healthy and energetic life so you get to be comfortable when you’re getting ready to die.

I’m in my early 30’s and at the “saving for retirement“ portion of the chart. I know I should, I’m planning for it and looking at good funds (I’m not in the US, things work a little differently here). But 15% of my income would leave me with about 5% of my income or less to spend on things that bring me joy (mainly travel) and would seriously restrict me in that. Of course I should start saving as early as possible and I’m also always working on increasing my income. But these are probably going to be the fittest years of my life and I think I would absolutely regret not taking the time (and money) to enjoy it.

Props to you all for being so committed to the grind. I’ll probably be a little worse off in my elderly years than I needed to be, but I’ll have lived a fantastic few years when I was feeling great and I don’t think old me will hate me for it lol.
