She started dating a guy that we all could see was the absolute worst and controlling. We hated him but we never told her that. He never wanted her to hang out with us and eventually he convinced her to move to a different city 1000 miles away. She was working for the show Law and Order so I refuse to believe she had any real say in packing up to move to a remote city in bumblefuck. She never told us she moved. I found out from her boyfriend's friend who I spoke with now and then. She stopped responding to texts, calls, I basically never heard from her again, although I know she and the bf broke up and she left that city.

We had been friends for over 10 years, and when my dad died, I wanted to tell her, but I know it wouldn't matter. I sometimes wonder if she knows and didn't bother to say anything, or if I would really want her to say something. I have no idea what happened with her or why she chose her bf over her best friends of a decade, or why she never tried to explain herself. I don't think about her much anymore but when I do I'm honestly (obviously) still a bit salty about the whole thing.
