I'll share some experience from playing the dreamleague qualifiers. I would say this is a pretty important tournament for alot of teams, and i feel like it shouldn't have been played on this platform, why? Because it wasn't ready yet.
Qualifier #1 I'm the manager of my team, and was gonna sign us up, unfortunately, I can't do that since I can't "untick" myself from the roster, we also had one player unavaible for the first match. So, whats the problem with that? We are not allowed to use standins... Wich ended up in ME, the manager "playing" instead of the player. And by playing, i mean wasting 3 hours of the entire team winning 3 games because we are able to load the game... It's not like we are able to leave the computer either, since you only got 15 minutes to join, after the game is ready. (faceitTV/dotaTV did not work for the matches we were waiting for, probably because they never started)
Day 2: we are ready to play at 12, expecting to only have 15 minutes to join the server, but no servers are up. So we tried contacting support using the site (we got told to do so). Great, they got a support system, but.... There is no way to track your support ticket, so you don't know when the server will be up, 15 minutes later, the server was up. And we loaded in. 15 minutes later, the loading time was 0:00, none from the other team had shown up. "Easy win again..." But one hour later, the other team appeared, and said they forgot the timezone had changed, so an admin set up the server so we could actually play a game!!! So, during the 15, minute load time, I decided to go to the bathroom. When i got back, I noticed that I WAS THE DRAFTER, why? because i was the one who signed up the team. Not being able to choose drafter won't be a problem for alot of teams, but atleast NOTIFY US ABOUT IT. All common sense says that we select the drafter ingame.
So, we won the match, and were ready to play our next opponent (GOOMBA) wich had started their match about an hour before us. Well, they weren't ready yet, because their match had some problems aswell... First problem: One of their players had to go AFK during the draft phase, and weren't back for the spawning phase. Well, no problem, you can just pause the game, right? But no, GOOMBA couldn't pause the game, because they were missing a player, so they kept it unpause, until the other team figured they could pause the game (2 minutes after creeps spawned). This lead to a remake of the game, where they had to contact an admin to fix it manually. It got restarted, with CM as gamemode (not AP).
Problem #2: Since we were playing a match at that time, I don't know the exact time this happened. But i was told it was around the 40 min mark. So, now the server they were playing on crashed... Normally, you would just load the game, but faceit can't do that... Wich means, they had to REMAKE FROM MINUTE 0!!!! I'm pretty sure they weren't happy about that...
Finally it was ready for the semi-finals. I'm not gonna make a huge complaint about that we were faced to play against GOOMBA in the last match, instead of being placed in the top part of the bracket, since we're not super famous or anything. But how do the seedings on faceit work? Well, it's automatically based on the average player level on the faceit site (please correct me if I'm wrong)
So what happened in the match vs GOOMBA? The problem in this match, was that some players got an error when joining the server, and got instantly kicked from it. So both teams agreed to say FUCK IT, and hosted our own server (we asked admin first)
The game finished without problem, and GOOMBA got a deserved victory.
Dreamleague qualifier #4. We decided to sign up again, I had now given our drafter the "yellow" crown, so he should be the drafter (we thought). So, now we are trying to sign up, but the "yellow crown" guy is not here yet. One of the other players try to sign and checkin our team (he got grey crown). But then a new bug appears, when he tries to sign us up, he got the message. "GL&HF, YOU HAVE SIGNED IN" and another message "Your captain have to signup and checkin your team" And our team was NOT checked in. He tried around 10 times, but still the same message. Suddenly, at 17:57, he tried again for the last time. NOW IT WORKED, for unknown reasons... (yellow crown guy is now back and can sign us up aswell)
So, game 1 starts. Loading... 15 minutes later. gg free win. Game 2: We finally get to play, but the drafter is NOT the guy with the yellow crown, but the guy who signed up the team. There are no info about this anywhere, and everything is just trial and error to figure out stuff. My team won the game pretty fast, and it's only 19:00, so we asked an admin if we were done for today, and he said yes.
And now we come to todays qualifier games. When we signed up yesterday, there was a huge message on the site, saying "contact an admin if you need a standin" So, we needed a standin today, since one of our players had something come up. BUT NO, that message was only for CS:GO, so we can not use a standin.
TBH, this is a joke of a system, when it's a qualifier to one of the biggest leagues in dota. Don't host a huge tournament on something that doesn't even work properly...
