Chuan and SingSing (are the most publicly acknowledged examples) of people being permanently stuck in Punishment because of Infinite reports, party reports counting individually, and the general amount of reports needed to trigger queue ban being much lower then it is today.

The normal player back in 2013/2014 would run the risk of getting queue banned for doing poorly in games. Support mains probably vividly remember getting queue banned really often back in those days because bad performance usually translated into getting mass reported and banned.

I had 13 smurfs back then because there was no such thing as scaling punishment down over time. If you were queue banned 3 times, your account was banned from queue for 2 weeks. 13 or so smurfs back then was actually pretty common. I know actually toxic players from back in the day who had over 50.
