Thoughts on PC principles?

No.

I specifically wanted them to realize who they were siding with, ie. someone who is very concerned that homosexuals have a record high of appearances on TV. Why....is this a bad thing?

I also think INTPs typically hate religion, so much that I have been in many situations defending it (I am an INFP afterall). But I understand the hate, because of the undeniable power and damage organized religions can implement.

IDK why you think the tables have turned, that Christians are oppressed now and that homosexuals are too powerful. There is still a lot of homophobia in the US there are hundreds of stats and studies that support that. Christians can be shat on in TV, yes. I am actually a religious person myself and it has always annoyed me when there is no nuance to Christian characters. But it's only a minor annoyance and it really shouldn't be anything more than that.

They are not a persecuted minority in this country subject to beatings, murder, and other hate crimes. It is incredibly unlikely for male rape victims to come forward because of deeply entrenched patriarchal notions and homophobia. Christianity is extremely powerful with Christian cronyism circles in DC to the systemically organized cover-ups of thousands of child molestation that is only conceivable given the inordinate power of the Catholic church. While it's a bit irritating to have Christians sometimes be portrayed as the buffoon, that's something Jesus himself warned them about and told them they had to deal with. As the conservative Justice Scalia said “Have the courage to have your wisdom regarded as stupidity. Be fools for Christ. And have the courage to suffer the contempt of the sophisticated world.”

"Evil Christians who won't bake cakes!" Do you realize how far right you are sounding? Even Kasich said "get over it, you have to serve gays." There is a reason you aren't allowed to turn away service in this country on the basis of race, religion, sexuality etc and it's because black people were refused service. The wedding cake is the same thing. It's not a minor issue. People back then also thought "It's just a diner, why are you so uppity!"
