TIFU - I accidentally revealed my boyfriend's mom's infidelity

Don’t be silly. You don’t seriously believe that hair color is a sign of anything? I have fraternal twin boys who are polar opposites. They look nothing alike, they don’t even look like they are related, much less like twins.

Ever seen the film “Twins” with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito? It’s kind of like that (only my kids are a lot cuter, lol).

When they were babies, everyone assumed the little brown one was mine because I am Latin American (French Basque/ Spaniard/ Aztec ancestry & born in the USA). But people thought I was just the nanny to my other baby. He was born much bigger (7.5lbs to his brother’s 4.5lbs.). He has hazel eyes, pale white skin, and a crazy natural strawberry blonde Afro.

They are now in high school. The blonde one is 6‘3“, built like a football player, His twin brother is 5’3” thin, muscular build, med brown skin, back hair, black/brown eyes.

One day, their paternal grandmother sent us a photograph that explained the mystery. It was a picture of her grandfather, from Sicily. He had the same build, same pale skin, towered over the rest of the family in the photo, and had the same shock of curly Afro-blonde hair.

As for my daughter, her father (my 1st husband) is a First Nations Apache, a great grand-nephew of Geronimo. She has his high cheekbones and eagle nose. His hair is as thick and straight as wheat, and black as iron. Hers is the same, except it the same golden blonde! His hair was jet black. She got her emerald green eyes from my father and grandmother, who were Spaniards. Her skin is the color of golden honey in the summer and pale white in winter, like her Basque ancestors.

You see, genetic traits can skip generations before showing up suddenly. Leave your friend and his family alone, and wish them only happiness.
