TIFU by riding a Little Tikes toddler car down a hill

FTFY: I apologize in advance for the length of this story, but it will hopefully entertain you.

This happened in September of 2014. I went over my friends house on a Friday night to work on a school project for my film class. My friend has a 2 year old sister and she was quite spoiled. A particular toy of hers in the front yard had caught my eye. It was one of those red and yellow cars that you would put your child in and roll around for fun. Now, being that I am a tall 6'2, I could not fit inside of the toy. So I decided to do the next best thing: get on top of it.

In Heinz sight, this was far from a good idea. But I was willing to give anything a shot. So I hopped on top and had 2 of my friends push me down the hill. And it worked the first time. And the second. And so on and so forth, all of us going down the hill and having a great time. All of my other friends had fallen off of the toy and rolled down the hill some, but I hadn't yet. I figured God was saving me for last. Which he did. In the next attempt, I had climbed on top, had my friends push me down the hill, but something had changed this time.

I was going much faster than I had anticipated because my friend was still behind me, pushing me as fast as he could run. We kept going and going and finally he was tiring out. In one final brute shove forward, the toy began to capsize. It started to tilt forward and I flew about 10 feet and landed directly on my left elbow. The toy somehow ended up behind me and, to add insult to injury, steamrolled over my left elbow. I was in an insane amount of pain, as my friends were at the top of the hill, laughing their asses off. I hadn't gotten up from where I had landed yet, so they eventually became concerned. They helped me up and I hobbled inside to go sit down. I dealt with the pain for a while so we could at least finish the project we were doing and get the grade.

I walked home, and by then my elbow had doubled in size. My parents saw this and they had a panic attack. They rushed me to the hospital to get X-Rays. Not only had I broke my elbow, I shattered it. The doctor came in the room with my X-Rays and was shocked. He said, and I quote, "Holy shit what did you do?" I had to get surgery the following day and go to physical therapy for 2 months to get my elbow working again.

You're welcome.
