TIL Zach Braff beat up a 12 year old for spraying fake paint on his Porsche as a part of a prank on the show Punked. The scene was edited out.

totally, just accept that your acting outside the law. Depending on the circumstance I don't think it's necessarily morally wrong to go and punch some motherfuckers jaw because he fucked with your shit, the obvious point that some astoundingly dull people in the discussion don't seem to get is that it can't be legal to beat the shit out of someone as revenge for fucking up your car because that opens the door to all kinds of situations where people just go and beat the snot out of someone and then claim as defense that its justice for something of their's that that person broke. Which can get scary as shit pretty fast, I as a late teen in a small town ended up in a situation where an older guy instigated a fight with me which I ended up winning... and I then lived for a while under threats of getting jumped/getting my car fucked up because his self-serving narrative of what had happened was that I'd just beat him up and that he deserved revenge (ignoring the fact that he'd actually been the one to instigate the fight).

i'm all for being able to legally use force, even lethal force, in a self-defense scenario where you are actually using it to stop an immediate threat. And I don't even think it's necessarily wrong to go and sock someone as revenge for doing something bad to you. But anyone who actually thinks it should somehow be legal to go and beat people as revenge has to be a sheltered idiot not to have experienced or be able to imagine how bad that could make things. You can quick as shit end up in some situation where some dude, regardless of what actually happened, perceives you as having wronged him and is out to fuck you up as justice. Thats scary enough as is and would be even more scary in some fucked up world where it was allowed by law.

but nah bro this dude fucked my car up i should totally be legally allowed to go kick his ass
