We visited MIL about two weeks after baby was born. She didn't say anything to ME but mentioned to SO that baby was sooo cold a few times. Then texted him after saying "why doesn't she care about keeping him warm???"

My main beef with her that night was she spouted the age old "crying is good for their lungs" bullshit after taking babies Pacifier out of his mouth and giggling while he got mad

So I posted a "baby's myths disproven" article

She replied. "Nope those are ALL TRUE and what about KEEPING BABY WARM HUH??? WHERE'S THE MYTH ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!"

I replied "Keeping their socks on tends to help with that" (she took them off at the visit)

"My god, child, he only had a shirt on!!!!"

He was fully dressed. We didn't have a sweater on him cause he PEED on it during the change before we were leaving. We just threw an extra blanket on him and preheated the car he was fine.

So I replied. "He was fine. Im 25, i have a child I am not one. If you want to parent another baby, then have one yourself, this one is MINE to parent."

And then later on she repeated the same issues to SO and called me stupid and crazy. I tried appealing to her with reason by showing studies that supported what I was doing "but ultimately WE are the parents now so your approval is irrelevant you need to respect that. You're a grandparent not a coparent"

She didn't even read anything I sent just went right to attacking me. Including threatening. I said a lot of "bitch" and "fuck you fuck you"

at one point she said "I can't wait to get my son and grandson away from you" I laughed so hard at that. "Oh? And what makes you think SO would ever leave me? He chose to be with me he didnt choose to be born to you, and you certainly don't suck his dick"

That shut her cunt face up.
