Tips for League that are assumed by most to be common knowledge?

Keep in mind that my initial tip for this thread never compared the imporatnce of kills and farm.

That being said, there are two main things I want to highlight.

The first being that this tip if more directed towards being a tool for players to use when they play. Being able to gauge the strength of your opponent, not only by looking at his current items, but also by making a rough estimate of how much gold that is unspent is incredibly important when it comes to planning ahead. It is mostly how this knowledge is applies that I concern myself with. If you are a kill down, but 20-30 cs up by 20 min, there is not too much to worry about. If the lane is stale, but you or your opponent are sitting on a substantial CS lead, it is useful to calculate what your opponent will come back with once they initiate a new recall phase. So on, so forth.

The second point I want to bring to the table, is my subjective opinion on the matter of kills vs cs in ranks below D5, and is skewed towards how I think the game should be played, which is this following statement: IF a sub diamond player, assuming that said player plays top/mid/adc, was able to achieve CS scores that were close to 38 CS at 5 min, 102 CS at 10 min and roughly 10 CS per min thereafter, consistently over the course of a season they would already be in diamond.

Mechanics matter so much less sub diamond, and the biggest flaws of sub diamond leagues is that they have yet to nail the basics. Basics meaning CSing, and the importance of vision and how to apply it.

Sidenote: It would be interesting to see a statistic on average CS for top/mid/adc in each different division. I have a hunch as of what the numbers would imply.
