Touch of Malice?

most of my raid group unlocked it immediately after our clear, so i've seen them use it a few times, but i'd never seen one on the enemy team until today -- and, just, holy shit. i'm honestly amazed that people posting in this thread, who have ostensibly used the gun (or at least seen it in action), are able to look back on the sum total of that experience and determine that yep, seems legit. my heart goes out to these poor souls, who are so clearly suffering, on account of being fucking insane lmao how do you think this is a normal amount of strength for a gun to have

the damage it put out was so comically insane that it seems like anyone using (or dying from) this gun should immediately recognize its brokenness

disclosure: i've been putting off the quest chain until now, so while i think i'm a good enough player (psn: juxtaposn) to sense when the thing shooting me is on a different level, i can't grasp the nuance involved without picking it up myself. so in other words, feel free to take my 2 cents with a grain of salt. just also consider that i've seen so many guns by now, it's almost impossible for one to make any kind of impact, yet one round with this thing dropped my jaw to the floor. it was that impressive.

one thing that really surprised me, not counting the insane damage -- seriously, i first thought that dude had dropped me with an LMG -- was that the self-damage appeared completely manageable. it took 8 shots for the guy to even break his shield, which seems like a long time. again, i'll have to use it myself, but with the ungodly level of damage being put out, i can't see how that tradeoff isn't worth it, at least in a 1v1.

anyway, i had been spend the weekend grinding for the boolean & tlaloc, but after today's events i know what i'll be doing instead.
