[Transfer Round Up & Discussion] June 4th, 2019

Can relate, when I was a kid was playing at top level for a similar kind of discipline, I had been drafted in from a very early age. There were times in my life, especially around adolescence, where I literally wanted to do anything else or talk about anything else. There were times when I hated it, even though I got joy from doing it too, But the stresses seemed more than the highs, and it became easier to associate the bad with it than the good, When you're in it for so long since childhood you lose sight sometimes of how lucky you are to have the opportunity, and if you're unhappy the opportunity is meaningless. I'm back in it now, and happy being so, but I needed time away to go back to it, and to realise there was still love for it in the end.

You gotta have the right strength of mind and spirit to go through that level of intensity for so long at such a young age and keep going. I'd hope some of these top notch football academies might have better resources to help kids manage these environments in all aspects though,
