I tried to keep up and i did for a little while. Kinda fun.

Funniest thing that has happened to me. Was on the hwy, and this primered out EG civic hatchback pulls up next to me, and revs at me. He has a stock (looking) exhaust, factory hubcaps.

At first I'm wondering why he would do such a thing. I mean, what would Mike Tyson do if Steve Urkel came up to him and asked for five minutes in the ring?

After a few more revs, i slow down a bit to match his speed. Lo and behold, he honks three times so I drop a gear and nail it.

I hear his exhaust grow exponentially louder, and then i see flames come out from underneath the driver side door. Presumably, this is due to a solenoid on his exhaust cutoff routing exhaust from his stock decoy muffler to a dump right underneath the middle of the car. All the other little details started to fall into place - the gutted interior, the roll cage barely visible behind darkly tinted windows.

His front tires - they seemed a bit wider than stock now, come to think of it - proceeded to light up. With a bit of protest, they hooked.

That little car disappeared off into the horizon with reckless abandon. All I heard was wastegate and tire. 2 shifts later, and he was gone - there was no point trying to keep up.

And thats another reason why I don't run people on the highway.
