Trump supporters of reddit, what does Trump have to say or do to lose your support?

my dad is one of the nicest most caring people i know. he loves animals and people, hes overall pretty considerate of others.

but when it comes to politics, hes absolutely insane. i grew up with him listening to rush limbaugh everywhere we went in the car. his library of books included rush limbaugh, bill orielly, ann coulture and the tv was permanently on fox news from when he sat down at night until he went to bed.

he thinks obama was born in kenya, wont even entertain a discussion, just tries to say "well agree to disagree" (!??). he is an illegitimate president and its a conspiracy that he wasnt removed from office.

when asked how the conspiracy dates back so far, who is behind it and why him, why is he the chosen one from the time of birth. he has no answer. "i dont care" he says. he has strong opinions on it until you ask him rational questions then its "drop it, i dont care, hes gone soon and it doesnt matter"

he also used to give me shit for watching "black sitcoms" as kid. on one hand i try not to blame him, hes in his 70s, was born in england and is from a different time. but on the other, fucking evolve already you idiot. he claims hes not racist, but in the next sentence says things like "people can change!!"

again, watching shows like fresh prince as a kid hed walk into the room "ohhhh look another goddamn black sitcom..."

when i "accuse" him of being a lifelong diehard republican without putting any thought into it, he denies it. i ask if hes ever voted for a democrat in any election in any capacity in his life, "that has nothing to do with it!!!".

so you read as much as you can, follow everything and somehow came to the same conclusion for the past 40 years, that every single republican was always the best choice in every election for any office youve ever voted for? "DROP IT, it doesnt matter!!! im not gonna vote this time!"

its really hard not to look at someone differently when they are otherwise a rational and caring person, but when it comes to this shit, its like you dont even know the person
