Also if I wanted to start from a very simple place, to eventually being able to write academic articles in Spanish, how would you recommend doing it? How do Spanish speaking children in the education system of their respective countries learn to write ensayos?

No offence, but actually learning Spanish is step number one. You can't write on any level if you don't know how to construct stuff properly. Honestly, if you wrote this without using a translator for work outside individual words, you have a place to start from, but you really need to listen to native speakers talk, and maybe read formal Spanish texts (or Spanish texts in general). My biggest issues with the majority of this were grammatical errors and phrases that sounded incredibly unnatural (some, as a result, made no sense in Spanish).

Notes as regards my corrections: Some of my corrections result in inexact translations, as some phrasing in English just doesn't carry over. Some of them have to do with making things sound natural, as opposed to actual grammatical incorrectness.
