Of course there're differences, but you said there's a huge difference in how much women get rather than men. If you play games any sort of online game, you know that isn't true. Just because some harassment is gendered doesn't make the overall harassment issue a gendered problem. Gender is just one thing in a list that will be used against you, and women play that card too. How many times does height and dick size get thrown around? Some of the female streamers I watch do that exact thing.

You don't find it solid reasoning that men and women complain about harassment at the same rates? Don't you think gender roles and masculinity plays a part there? Men not wanting to look weak or show emotion is a pretty common thing - so yeah I do think that plays a significant part. But you'll never see that being a story.

And I don't see your point about female streamers getting more views than smaller ones, the crux would be how the harassment scaled, or else that's just a benefit? And it will scale, girls will likely get more harassments than boys, but I don't think the difference is as huge as you think.
