So a year later we sat and watched some satelite arch through the sky. What? Whys a satelite turning?

Happened to be in northern mn where the milky way is visible. We watched it from the horizon to it making a sweep arch through the sky. It cut a 90 degree angle at whatever speed and stopped right over our heads. But at satelite altitude.

Wow thats not how satellites work awesome!

It just waited. Thing stopped for about 2 mins overhead.

Some other larger satelite object sweeps by from a perpendicular trajectory and sucks it in.

My dad was freaked out by that one.

Anyways in this instance, my suspicion is that some govt has the tech to operate, navigate and maneuver satellites in orbit.

As far as tech goes satellites cannot stop and hover. They cannot move trajectory much. They certainly cannot wait and get picked up by other satellites passing by at 7k mph.

Just neat to see that perhaps humanity now possess this tech and someone thought they could test it without witnesses in the middle of nowhere.
