My mom had her tubes tied after I was born but when she met and married my step dad when I was 11 he said he wanted his own gifs because he knew he wouldn’t love us. (They would have “family meetings” and over-share their feelings, arguments, and just plain marital discord. So this reasoning was spelled out in exactly those words.) Anyway, surprise! He was just as abusive to the two kids born after her tubal reconstruction. They do SH and are pretty fucked in the head and he killed himself six years ago. Having children, even “your own” children won’t make you happy.

Don’t feel bad for my mother. She’s the reason he killed himself.
