Going to write this to correct the assumption that Wales is represented by England. When Wales was legally subsumed into the Kingdom of England it wasn’t under the understanding that Wales was to be represented by England and allowed to exist culturally and linguistic separate but that Wales and its Welshness was to be replaced and no longer exist. English national identity relied on the English not being Welsh, Irish or Scottish so there could be no united England and Wales and this nonWelsh representation alongside the English because that would threaten English national identity - in the Kingdom of England there is only room for England. So no Wales isn’t represented by England.
