Question: what’s the deal with the beef the north has with the south?

As a Norther I can't say we have beef at all? I suppose just differences and dissagreements. But similar to England, like several have mentioned, it's a North-South divide, and it's certainly not one way: but that isn't to say everyone holds the same sentiments. The south can get funding that the north won't, most cities and the economy being in the south, the anglicisation of the south, but then there's the option of some that the north (especially east) are basically English (especially due to eastern English language accents), differences of dialect, i feel like the northern accents are generally picked on a lot though, both England and Welsh language; just a few i could image being brought up by people on both sides. ultimately it's a bunch of things that a lot of places got through. I've known friends to move to even Aberystwyth (i know some consider themselves south, and others simply mid) and get abuse (genuinely, shockingly enough) for being "Gog's". But like I said, things like this apply to other countries, maybe not as must to us as in England, which is spurred a lot by class, but it's just something you'll find.
