[DRIVING LICENSE ACQUISITION QUESTION]

Just wanted to ask if it's possible for me to get a driver's license WITHOUT going to a driving school? We all know how expensive it is to enroll in a driving school especially the night classes. I'm not staying in a metropolis so its estimated around [310,000] yen for the full course.

Is it possible to just take the driving exam without any prior experience in driving?

Background:

• I have a license unfortunately it's not an international driver's license.
• The license expired last 2017(back in my country). Stayed and worked here in Japan since 2018.
• I'm from the Philippines. (we drive on the right side of the road if that matters)
