Unplanned Pregnancy, with sister actively TTC without success...

Well, I dont want to give any false hope or anything, but having been diagnosed with PCOS at the age of ~15 (periods stopped, hair got thinner, etc.) I was RX'ed the usual Metformin and Yasmin. Delt with it and was told that having children woud be hard/somewhat impossible.

Jump forward 11 years (just turned 26).

Now, I never had this urge to have children, luckly my husband was in the same boat. And being told what I haf been told at 15, I though I literally was yhr luckiest person in the world! My periods had been pretty normal, I didnt have any BAD side effects like facial hair or some of the other sympotms of pcos. And I though I basically could have sex all I wanted with my SO, and not have to worry about taking b/c(at this point I stopped taking it around age 22-23).

Im currently 34 weeks with a healthy bby girl. No complications, pretty stinkin' eay pregnancy compaired to some of the issues Ive read on babybumps.

3 years without birth control, and I concieve. Weird and totally unexpected but from what im being told, my PCOS had gone away on its own..Of course Im also told that once bby comes it will come back with a vengance so I have to make sure I get back on my Metformin and keep an eye out for it. Also, Ive gained about 40-50lbs so far and am currently at a whopping 320lbs. Once bby is born Im already looking forward to doing my low carb thing ive done in the past.

Dont really know what, if anything you might take from this story, but I can tell you, PCOS doesnt always mean a childless future. Also, I dont know if your sis is overweight, but boy o boy does loosing just 20 or 30 lbs really make a difference for us PCOSers. About 6 years ago I dropped 50lbs in about 5 months thanks to willpower and low carb eating. My skin was, dare i say radient, I was mentally happier, I had this spring in my step. You get the point. As a whole I was never feeling better.
