[VENT] I hate being passionate about dogs sometimes

So law is determined by state. You have to have a breeding license in qld but honestly I could get one today so it means nothing really. Then when you have puppies you allocate them a number and they can’t be registered in the state without the breeder license issued number. People get fooled by someone having a breeding license not realising how low the barrier is. Then you have “associations” that byb’s make up to pass as ethical - like the one mentioned on their website, the owner also owns that association for her own benefit. Qld has really weak laws against puppy farms in comparison to some other states that limit number of dogs on a license.

There are organisations out there to try and stop it but unfortunately since the dogs are fed and groomed there’s not too much official governing bodies can do even though they obviously have a low quality life.
