Very pleased to see people calling The Age out on inciting fear in the comments of their sponsored Instagram post.

The Age is getting worse, and worse.

'Sponsored' and 'Promoted' posts by companies on the front page of the website, lack of proper editing in many cases (easy to find typos, grammatical errors, etc.), and fluff 'reporting' on trivial issues.

This morning I saw this lovely contradiction in terms:

'Outstanding police work leads to arrest': https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/how-top-notch-policing-nabbed-suspect-in-aiia-maasarwe-death-20190120-p50sho.html

'Arrested for someone else's crime' - https://www.theage.com.au/national/victoria/arrested-for-someone-else-s-crime-a-teen-was-left-badly-injured-20190120-p50sh6.html

They have no standards, and will just do whatever they can to get eyes at the time. The media shouldn't be commending the police or assisting them in their reporting, or having companies pay to advertise in discretely hidden blog posts; they're meant to be independent. Fake News is a real concept.
