To paraphrase my father (Korea, Vietnam) (and, as a result...somehow...a life-long bleeding heart liberal) "Trump can go fuck himself".

I think that's probably closer to the sentiment of most veterans that I know (myself included), than the apparent sentiments of the national veterans organizations, that, by virtue of being national organizations, appear to intend to speak for all veterans.

And they do appear and pretend to speak for all, don't they?

I believe that they only speak for those veterans who couldn't get enough of titles and ranks and organization while in the military. Their very behavior seems to preclude an understanding of the needs of America or Americans.

Their willingness to wrap themselves up in the flag is god damn sickening.
